I am a physician. How can I rate the EMR system that I am using?
If you would like to contribute to the EMR user ratings and rate your EMR system, registration is required. This is to ensure that you are a confirmed user of that particular EMR system. After completing a short questionnaire and a disclosure statement regarding any conflict of interest, we will ask for your permission to contact your EMR vendor simply to confirm that you are a bona fide user of that EMR. If you would like further information on how this information is managed, please read the CanadianEMR Privacy Policy

How do the Satisfaction Ratings work?
All physicians who are users of EMR systems in Canada are entitled to rate their EMR. The CanadianEMR Satisfaction Rating system is comprised of five high level categories: Purchase Experience, Implementation Experience, Support Experience, Usability, and Satisfaction with the product. Each of the high level categories is made up of three questions, which are answered according to a 1-5 star rating system by selecting a radio button for each question. Each set of three questions has a common set of reference criteria to assist with decision making. Once a physician has rated their EMR product, the information is anonymized and the aggregated information is presented in the EMR comparison tables as a star rating from one to five stars in each category. It is then possible to drill deeper and view the aggregated EMR rating information for each of the 15 questions on each product. Once registered as an EMR Rating physician, it takes just a few minutes to rate your EMR. In order to create a dynamic database of information on EMR ratings, physicians who contribute their ratings will be asked once every three months to update their EMR rating. This is extremely useful to physicians contemplating the purchase of an EMR system or currently using an EMR and considering a change, as the Star Ratings reflect the actual performance of that company in all major categories.

I am an EMR Vendor. How do I get my product listed on CanadianEMR?
All vendors of EMR systems in Canada (subject to a review and approval process) are entitled to list their EMR system on CanadianEMR and create an Enhanced Vendor Profile. A fee is charged to the vendor for the creation of an Enhanced Vendor Profile which entitles the vendor to manage information about their company and product(s), upload and manage documents such as customer testimonials, white papers and product sheets. A vendor will be required to enter into an agreement with CanadianEMR that outlines the terms of use of CanadianEMR and a code of conduct that is expected when posting and maintaining their product information. Once a product listing has been created by a vendor and has been populated with information by the vendor regarding the product, the date of the last update will be clearly displayed for that particular vendor. It is in the vendor's best interest for this information to be updated on a regular basis. In order to facilitate regular updates of the product profiles, email reminders will be provided to a designated email address reminding the vendor to update their product profile. Creation of an Enhanced Vendor Profile entitles a vendor to validate physicians who have rated their EMR product(s) on CanadianEMR.
